Title

Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

Opening Scripture

“Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb. I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation! You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, The days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day.” —Psalm 139:13–16

Gentle Reflection

I remember when I had to go to the hospital because I was having a panic attack. They hooked me up to every machine to make sure my heart was working, my breathing was steady, and the blood was flowing properly through my body. As the nurse completed the echocardiogram—a heart ultrasound that shows images inside the body—she asked if I wanted to see it. I said yes.

I was amazed watching how the heart pumps blood without me telling it to. I saw the ventricles, the movement, and all the working parts the machine allowed me to see through the skin. I couldn’t help but think of David’s words: that God formed us in the womb. He put all the pieces together—everything we would ever need to live—inside the body of a woman. I still get goosebumps thinking about how our bodies work and how deeply God loves us to design us so intricately.

It’s the same with our lives. Fear will rob us of what God has for us. But when God looked at you through His microscopic lens, He said, “I’m going to pack you full of character, sass, love, creativity, intelligence, humor—and in my case, the kind of jokes that make people laugh until I stop—and so much more.” Then He said, “I’m only going to create one of you.” There will never be another Beverly in this world. Isn’t that wild? Out of billions of people, God created one original copy—YOU. That’s the fruit of love God gives freely.

Crown Insight

Bright Souls, you are the crown. God blessed us with the fruit. You are the only one who can display love the way you do, speak love the way you do, give love the way you do, and receive love the way you do. God gave us all the fruit—but only you the tools to deliver it in your unique way.

I challenge you today: don’t just show love. Be willing to receive it.

Prayer or Blessing

Bless the Bright Souls who read this. May they know that love is a gift God gives freely—without needing to ask or earn it. I pray each one of you learns that love is patient and kind, and that you are fully equipped to give it and open to receive it.

Journaling Prompt

Where have you seen God’s love specifically for you in your life?

How can you share love toward others?

Gentle call to action: “If this spoke to you, share it with a fellow Bright Soul.”
